Anna Selezneva in Valentino
This is a bit of a random post, but I saw this photo posted on Stardust and Sequins (check out her blog: http://stardustandsequins.wordpress.com/) and I just had to reblog it. I mean, she looks amazing, and that dress is totally gorgeous :)
Hope you all love it as much as I do!

Shoes, shoes, shoes!
I always say there is a thought that truly separates man from woman - men look at shoes as 'comfortable', which means, in our terms, incredibly, indescribably hideous sport shoes, and women look at shoes as a way of adding length and definition to your legs and feeling worth a million dollars with the perfect pair. Of course, there's the fashionable men and the not-so fashionable women, but let's not get into that right now.
This season's shoe trends are, unfortunately, both good and bad (and when I say bad, I mean really really bad), so let's start off with the bad and work our way from there, so that we at least end in a good mood.
Kitten Heels
That's right ladies, they're making a comeback. I can hear the groans already. When I first heard of this unwelcome comeback, I thought I might cry, but Fall is starting here, so we won't be suffering this trend for six months, and hopefully by then the fashion world will have come to their senses.
Ever since the 70s, kitten heels have been considered the ugly step-sister of the heel family - they don't lengthen the legs and define the calf at all. Separate them from the ladylike elegance of the '50s and '60s and all you're left with is a stunted and unattractive piece of footwear.
But fashion is fashion, and what goes around comes around. So the question is, are kitten heels destines to make a comfortable yet potentially unwelcome return? The answer is an unwavering yes. Like it or not, we'll all be seeing plenty more of them as a 2011 fashion trend.
Peep toe
Okay so I know these have been out for ages now and that they're on the way out, but they're still one of my personal favourites, so I decided, what the heck, why not?
Peep toe shows have been one of the more desirable shoe trends to be released, and with their obvious style and subtle elegance and glamour, why wouldn't they be? These shoes were a major hit not exactly on the runway, but on the street. Many chose peep toe shoes over the heavier/fancier shoes, which created that extra fun sense of casualness about them that many fell in love with.
Shoes have always been important in the fashion world, so while it's always safest to stick with what's on the runway, sometimes desperate times call for desperate measures (Kitten heels?! Seriously?!), so it's always good to look around and see what other styles draw you in, because fashion is all about expressing yourself, not copying what designers decide is fashionable.

Clogs
When you hear the word 'clogs', if you are anything like me, the accompanying mental image contains sloppy, unattractive and unflattering footwear that surely must have been stopped before the 1900s. But, rest assured, if the traditional footwear isn't your thing it, thankfully is not they style of clogs that are on trend. Instead, designers have looked to other parts of Europe to draw inspiration.
There are also many styles of clogs out, so if a more traditional, fully covered clog doesn't quite do it for you, don't feel restricted, look at other variations! For example, high heeled sandals but with clog-style studs. The overall shape can be less clog-like also - but the hint of the clog trend is always evident, making them a great alternative.

Charlotte Ronson and United Bamboo!
Hi everyone! Sorry about not posting anything yesterday, something weird happened to my eyes and I couldn't open them (long story) and to show you how sorry I am, here's a photo of an adorable bunny rabbit!
Aw see I knew you'd forgive me! :)
Well, down to business (sorry for being random, I get off track easily. You have been warned!).
As we all know, this season's New York Fashion Week was a huge hit, with experienced as well as new designers showing their talents and showing the world what to expect and what to be on the lookout for this Spring and Summer. While all the designers and their creations stunned me, two which I absolutely loved where Charlotte Ronson and United Bamboo.
Charlotte Ronson is an English fashion designer currently living in New York City. She was born into a wealthy family as the daughter of writer and sociality Ann-Dexter-Jones and real estate mogul Laurence Ronson. She always had an interest in fashion, but actually began designing after her friends asked her to create pieces for them, and from there she became hooked.
"This collection is inspired by the vibrant romantic feel of Spain", she tells Chic TV before the show, and it definitely shows. The bright florals, embroideries and detailing with a pinch of that sloppy '90s look makes this collection the essence of fabulous casual looks for all occasions.
United Bamboo was first launched in 1998 by Miho Aoki and Thuy Pham and from then has established itself as a pioneer in fashion design and creative collaboration. They is most known for its innovative designs in womenswear and accessories, as well as menswear. The label's original idea was to reimagine and reinterpret classic, preppy and American sportswear, but since then has incorporated countless influences and ideas, broadening their horizons significantly while still honouring its founding aesthetic.
This collection was inspired by Victorian times beach clothes, which is clearly demonstrated through the classic creams and beiges featured through most of the outfits. These styles are being called both innovative and inspirational, which is what the brand is most known for producing.

Which Bag Are You?
There are only so many things more important that clothes, such as shoes - and bags. Australian-born designer Rachelle Dendle understands this, and so she has created 12 bags for every type of girl. Rachelle's early influences include Australia's nature, wilderness and bright blue sky, and above all, Magdalena Carmen Frida Kahlo y Calderon. After the Apple is a response to the world of bag. Believing there are twelve generic, indispensable bag shapes, each collection will house the same titles with elements perfected. She believes that 'every person is a different bag'. Each of the dozen fit a particular need. Always with more than one handle or strap option for each style, the bags shout versatility and functionality.
After the Apple is the culmination of a quest to develop a brand perfected in the timelessness of these twelve shapes adapted through the thematic injections of each season.
So without further ado, the bags of the season!

The Duffle
The Slouchy
The Handbag
The Briefcase
The Messenger
The Mother Rucksack
The Everyday Bag
The Reversible
The Shopper
The Clutch
The Tote
The Hobo
This collection is being named one of the best accessory collections as what some may hate, others may adore, so no matter who your are or your style, there's pretty much something for everyone! They are a bit pricey, I must admit, with some costing over $400, but if you're a die-hard fan of bags like moi, investing in one of these gorgeous things will reward you time and time again, because it's not one of the bags that you can only wear once!
So there's only one question left to ask yourself: Which bag are you?
