So if you're one of my regular followers, you've probably noticed by now that I'm just a tad obsessed with all things Chanel. I know, I know, how cliche Evana, be more original - but it's Chanel! What's not to love? Karl Lagerfeld is an amazing designer, and one of my biggest fashion inspirations. And with a collection as fabulous as the new 2012 Spring Summer Ready-to-Wear, it's easy to see why.
The scene was set in Paris, the city of fashion, on a stunning recreation of the ocean floor; an immaculate white landscape of seaweed, stingrays, sharks and shells, creating an optimistic, bright and fresh idea of fashion, rather than the desolate, post-apocalyptic feel of previous collections. It was a masterpiece: deceptively simple but never dull. Youthful and light silhouettes floated down the runway, some looks maintaining the luxurious air of the house's classical, untouchable designs, others being the very image of elegance without pretension.
The collection is obviously an extensive one, so I'm just going to include my favourites. To see the collection in its entirety, click here. Leave me a comment below with your thoughts on the collection, your favourite outfit/s, whatever! Oh, and Happy Halloween everyone!
