Karl Lagerfeld has chosen Blake Lively, a rising star on the American movie scene, as the official face of the Mademoiselle handbag line. Here spontaneity and fresh, youthful image convinced Chanel that she was the right person to represent this well established fashion House and this range of bags, and in the campaign she poses with the new line of accessories looking as stunning as ever.
"I have such a respect for fashion and such an appreciation for it that if there are people like Karl Lagerfeld out there designing, who am I? I want to bow down to them and be a representative for them if they'll have me," Miss Lively told WWD prior to her being chosen to officially represent the brand.
The campaign was photographed by Karl Lagerfeld, and was released just a few days ago, and while many constantly criticise Mr Lagerfeld for his lack of photography skills, I beg to differ. I think his photography truly captures the feeling and essence of the scene. After all, he is the head designer, and so is probably the best as he knows the best way for the clothes to be presented.
