Cream of the Crop

Okay so I didn't go anywhere in the literal sense, but I might as well have been on another planet. I've been studying like a madwoman for the trail exams that were today and yesterday. There's one more tomorrow but it's for Computing Skills, so for a study break I decided to FINALLY blog!

As my regular followers should already be aware of, I have a certain passion for creamy, light colours. Call me old fashion, but there's nothing I love more than walking into a store and being able to choose form a vanilla palette topped with pedigree accessories, gold accents and a decidedly ladylike air.

So let me introduce to you once again some of my favourite pics featuring some creamy colours (credit where needed!)

Escape in Style

It appears that Collette Dinnigan looked to the ocean for inspiration this time around, setting the scene for her resort 2012 collection, Seaside Escapes. Like me, Collette is a girly girl through and through, which worked in her favour, with the beloved lace, beads, ruffles, and sequins dovetailing nicely with the theme. The designer unveiled the range in the gorgeous surrounds of Australia’s very own beachside Riviera, Hamilton Island, which provided a picturesque and ambient setting.
Models glided down the runway in Dinnigan’s signature feminine designs that included billowing floral printed dresses and intricately embellished silk skirts. Looking on were some the designer’s most faithful clients, as well as a flock of socialites and media personalities.
So without further adieu, the collection please!

Fashion on Show

So, on the weekend, Saturday to be exact, I had the amazing opportunity of attending some fashion shows in the city (Sydney) as a part of the 30 Days of Fashion and Beauty show day. The shows were amazing, and as promised, I took heaps of lovely photos! My camera ran out of battery as soon as the first show started though, so my iPhone 3 had to suffice (the camera isn't too good, as you'll see). I got some pretty good positions for taking photos, but some may include the heads of the people in the front row, so bear with me!

First up was the Romantic Rock Runway Show, which was essentially a preview into the new Pandora necklace range. I loved every design, as I am obsessed with Pandora, but even I have to admit that some of the necklaces looked really hard to wear. Oh well, let's take a look! (I'll just include some of the looks so I don't make this post a billion times too long. If you want to see the full collection check out the video below!)

Next was Summer's Hottest Pins, presented by Veet, which put on a real show with the hottest trends from beach to bar, and teaming it with perfectly smooth legs.

Last, but certainly not least, was the Lights Camera Colour! show by Revlon. They teamed up with Cosmo and Heidi Harrington-Johnson to introduce their new nail polish range that sets in just 60 seconds (I KNOW!!!). It mainly featured the colour-blocking trend, which is one of my personal favourites!

Hope you enjoyed the pics guys, and talk soon!
