Trend Report: Summer Romance

... But not in the way you'd expect. We've all seen the colour-blocking trend - almost everyone has tried it. However, we've also seen those people that try to pull off a polished and successful colour block, but sometimes it just doesn't make sense. It's such a tricky trend, and that's why I've hunted down a photo shoot starring the model-of-the-moment Jessica Gomes that gives a little insight into successful colour blocking, and I have to say it's one of the best on colour blocking I've seen, let alone a photo shoot that's made my favourite's list. Yes I know! I haven't posted for a while again, but I'll be back starting next week. I've just started work experience at the amazing Shop Til You Drop office in Sydney, and it's really kept me busy! Working is a tiring endeavour, how do people do this for years on end?! It's easy to see I'm going to be one of those girls that is always drinking coffee and is always tired!

Thanks For The Memories

I've been thinking about my holiday to the South of France recently, reminiscing, nostalgia, all that depressing stuff. And now that the stress is on at school I keep wishing that I could rewind time and go back. Nice, Cannes, St Raphael, Monaco, St Tropez... Oh God.

Well anyway, how have you all been my lovelies? And is anyone going on vacation any time soon?

Aztec Influence

Over the last few seasons, we've seen fashion houses, new and classical alike, begin to introduce more prints and neurotic designs alongside the minimalist style that has been popping up all over the place. One of these prints is a little something called Aztec.

Yeah yeah, ancient religion, how boring, but the name is deceiving - the pattern itself is absolutely stunning, definitely one of my favourites. Let me know what you think! x

Trend Report: African Safari

As the Spring/Summer Collections for 2012 are being slowly released by their ingenious designers, there seems to be a pattern emerging - the tribal look is back, but it's more of a mature styling than we're used to, sort of like last season's older, more sophisticated sister.

I'm all for subtler, innovative designs rather than over-the-top animal prints and kaftans, so you can imagine my pleasure when this trend started popping up all over the fashion-sphere and blogosphere. Here are just a few of my favourite looks from this season's new safari looks.
