It feels like this trend has been around forever now, but colour blocking is still a dominant stakeholder on the fashion scene, and designers seemed to have gotten the memo, since this spring rtw season there was almost always a colour blocked outfit. At first, I hated the idea of a palette of brights plastered into one outfit (the 80s are long gone people!), but with a little guidance and inspirations from designers such as Marc Jacobs and Roksanda Ilincic (one of my personal favourites for colour blocking this season), what's not to love?

Out With the Old, In With the New!

As I'm sure those of you who have visited my blog recently have noticed, I changed the polka dot background. Finally! I felt so girly before, now it's like a fresh ray of sunshine! What do you think? And if you also haven't noticed, I didn't post anything yesterday. And no, it's not because of my utter laziness, or my blasé attitude, but because I am changing my blogging schedule. From now on, I shall be posting Monday-Wednesday-Friday, and if anything unbelievable (in my head, which can be anything, really), I will be in the blogosophere faster than you can say 'Evana is amazing!', most probably because you would never say that in your lifetime. Ever.



Okay, they're the changes. Don't forget. Now, down to business (can I really call it that...?) One of my absolute beloved trends that have recently been zipping down the sidewalk is once again not forgotten. Like flare jeans and Jane Austen, they can only move backstage, but they never leave the building. Yes that's right, I'm talking about those stripedy stripe stripes we all fell in love with just a short time ago. They seemed to move a tad out of focus in some collections and spreads, but they're coming back with a bang. The proof? If you have to ask, you obviously haven't seen the new Prada collection. And if this is so, where have you been?!

I now pronounce myself officially obsessed with Madame Prada's latest plan of attack, as it is original, sexy and fun. And all you worry-warts out there that are hollering, 'But don't stripes make you look fat?!' Well my dearies, it may seem that way on first glance, but as we've been taught, we should never judge a book by it's cover. It is actually proven that the loved-hated design actually slims your waist line and your silhouette. So ladies, what are you waiting for?!
