The Chill Factor

With most of you day dreaming about sunshine, beach parties and finally getting to wear just one layer for Spring and Summer, in Australia we aren't so lucky, in a lot of ways. First off, we are always a few seasons behind on fashion, we don't even get to close to what you all get for school holidays, and when you're sunbathing and just relaxing, we have to get all rugged up and face the world, and it doesn't even snow here! So I decided to talk about the dreaded months ahead for my lovely Australian/Southern Hemisphere readers, and what and how to dress.
The main style of this winter is layering! Keep warm this winter in layered-on icy coloured knits and shearling bomber jackets. Cowl necks and fair isle prints will work back with everything from slim-line skirts to pleat front chinos, topped off with nubbly fingerless gloves and crochet effect scarves. Remember, the cosier the better!

For textured skirts, cropped sweaters and peg leg pants, I am absolutely loving Portmans, their new collection is amazing, and they managed to land Abbey Lee Kershaw as their model, and she looks absolutely gorgeous in all of the photos, so I think I might blog about that soon!
