Natalia Vodianova

The modelling world has to be one of the toughest out there, with beautiful and super skinny girls fighting to be the best of the best, so when one stands out from all of these girls, they are obviously destined to be a star, and with her story, it is truly amazing how Natalia managed.

She was born in Russia into a poor family, with two half sisters, one who had cerebral palsy. Her teenage years consisted of her selling fruit with her mother at a fruit stand.
At 15, she enrolled into a modelling academy, where she was told she would need to learn English in order to succeed, and within three months she has mastered it. By 17 she had moved to Paris and was signed with Viva Models.
From there she has walked over 150 shows in both ready-to-wear and haute couture collections, for both the US and European designers, and has achieved a considerable amount of fame and recognition in her time as a model.
I personally love her for her classically beautiful face and the fact that she is just a down-to earth girl with three children and a fabulous career, but after what she went through to get where she is today, I don't think any of us can fairly say that it was luck or unfair.
